Avourneen is an ensemble out of Denver, Colorado specializing in traditional Irish, Scottish and Celtic folk music. After playing across the American West for a decade, the band has distinguished itself as one of the most innovative and popular Celtic acts in the region, having played high-profile festivals in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, New Mexico and Nevada. The band released their first full album, Sparrow, in 2020. The band plays in several lineups, including Smithstein, which is: Adam Goldstein on guitar, bouzouki and vocals; Marty Smith on bouzouki and vocals; and Alice Alister on bass.
Tickets for this event will be on a sliding scale from $10 - $20.
The sliding scale pricing model allows the JCC Denver to offer programming that is accessible to anyone regardless of their access to wealth. Everyone deserves to be able to participate!
