Avourneen is an ensemble out of Denver, Colorado specializing in traditional Irish, Scottish and Celtic folk music. After playing across the American West for a decade, the band has distinguished itself as one of the most innovative and popular Celtic acts in the region, having played high-profile festivals in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, New Mexico and Nevada. The band released their first full album, Sparrow, in 2020. The band plays in several lineups, including Smithstein, which is: Adam Goldstein on guitar, bouzouki and vocals; Marty Smith on bouzouki and vocals; and Alice Alister on bass.
Tickets for this event will be on a sliding scale from $10 - $20.
The sliding scale pricing model allows the JCC Denver to offer programming that is accessible to anyone regardless of their access to wealth. Everyone deserves to be able to participate! Tier 1: If you stress about basic needs, but rarely miss them.
Tier 2: You are not worried about basic needs and have some expendable income.
Tier 3: You maintain a high standard of living and have access to expendable income.
