THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER!

This urgent call to action revisits the crucial historical lessons of Black-Jewish cooperation, highlighting the powerful alliance forged during the turbulent Civil Rights era of the 1960s, when Jewish leaders stood in solidarity with Dr. King’s fight for racial equality and harmony. However, this once strong bond has frayed in recent years, seemingly forgotten or overlooked. Through a rich array of archival materials and firsthand accounts from key figures—including Congressman John Lewis, Amb. Andrew Young, Rabbi Alvin Sugarman, Oscar-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr., and members of the King family—pivotal events of the movement come alive, revealing the depth of this partnership. As divisive seeds of hate take root once again in America, a new generation is inspired to reaffirm their commitment to social justice, emphasizing that true freedom and equality can only be achieved when people unite in empathy and solidarity, celebrating the shared human experience.
